Israel attacks Global Sumud Flotilla

Sidi Bou Said – 10 September 2025

At 11:21 p.m. on September 9, a second strike hit the vessels of the Global Sumud Flotilla docked at the port of Sidi Bou Said, Tunis. An Israeli drone dropped an explosive device on the Alma boat in the pledge to intimidate and discourage the humanitarian project from sailing.

Only the day before, at the very same hour, another Israeli drone had released an ordnance on the Family, setting fire on the lead ship of the solidarity fleet, which is scheduled to depart from the tunisian port toward Gaza to break, by sea, the blockade on humanitarian aid enforced by Zionist regime over Palestinian lands.

Answering the call of the Maghrebi delegation of the Sumud Flotilla, Tunisians rushed to the harbor, expressing anger and solidarity, standing shoulder to shoulder with the Palestinians as well as with all the activists who will embark on this long journey.

My name is Thomas and I am a young independent photographer born and raised in Italy, where I am still based. From self-taught to aspiring photojournalist, my work is mostly in reportage and storytelling, but I do also street and experimental photography. Through the lens, I document the social movements and spaces of counterculture, humanity, conflict that animate the social fabric of the cities. Occasionally, I commission portrait shoots and follow graduations, birthdays, conventions, events, etc. Proudly antifascist, proudly queer, proudly loud.
